Qualifications

You hold a BAC+5 degree in civil engineering or equivalent. You possess relevant experience in the design and sizing of civil engineering structures. You demonstrate analytical and critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills. Your technical aptitude is valued. You have an operational level of English. Familiarity with nuclear civil engineering calculation codes (RCC-CW) and industrial civil engineering design codes (EC0, EC1, EC2, EC3, EC8) - EuroCodes is expected.

Under the guidance of Ha, Technical Lead, you will become part of the Civil Engineering team, tackling the challenges of our era through the EPR2 project!

Your Responsibilities

Dive into the nuclear engineering domain of EDF, led by Edvance for the EPR2 project, supported by Assystem within the Mechanical/Civil Engineering team. As a Civil Engineer, you will design, analyze, and oversee the construction of essential structures for nuclear facilities, ensuring their safety and longevity. Your tasks will include:

  • Coordinating technical efforts between Civil Engineering, Safety, and Technical Management teams.
  • Managing the civil engineering framework for EPR2, particularly concerning internal and external threats.
  • Documenting and maintaining safety functional requirements for the EPR2 nuclear island.
  • Developing a process to implement safety requirements using 3D modeling in Civil Engineering.
  • Establishing calculation methods necessary to translate safety requirements.
  • Supporting architects in identifying and designing protective measures against threats.
  • Assisting project study and construction teams in specifying and clarifying civil engineering requirements.
