Job Overview
Olsson specializes in multidisciplinary design services for diverse land development projects, including mixed-use, commercial, residential, industrial, sports, schools, and other site developments.
In the role of Civil Project Engineer, you will leverage your engineering expertise across various assignments and related fields. As a registered professional engineer, you will provide supervision and guidance on overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters. You will oversee, coordinate, and review the work of engineers or technicians, handling complex assignments that necessitate the development of innovative techniques and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare planning and design documentation in the relevant engineering discipline.
- Conduct process design calculations, develop cost estimates, and perform economic analyses for alternative comparisons.
- Assist in the development of project scope, schedule, initiation paperwork, budget reviews, and progress reports.
- Coordinate projects across various Olsson teams, manage design aspects, guide team members on design tasks, maintain project records, inform project managers of progress and issues, and liaise with clients, including attending meetings.
- Contribute to marketing and business development efforts, including proposal writing.
- Potentially serve as project manager for smaller projects.
- Independently execute assignments on complex projects.
- Oversee the work of assistant and associate professional staff and technical staff, potentially supervising student or technical staff.
