This hybrid role requires candidates to be based in Minneapolis/St. Paul or Washington, DC, with a minimum of three in-office workdays each week.
Impact of Your Role:
As a Cloud Systems Engineer, you will collaborate with our infrastructure and deployment teams to automate, scale, and rigorously test the deployment of Swoop Technologies’ innovative products. Your deployments will span secure, air-gapped, on-premises, remote, bare metal, and cloud environments, all closely integrated with our GitLab CI/CD infrastructure. Your daily responsibilities will involve managing AWS resources to support code development and testing, enhancing Terraform provisioning scripts, monitoring resource health, and ensuring the security of our cloud infrastructure.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Establishing automation for monitoring the health and usage of cloud resources
Collaborating with security engineers to ensure compliance with NIST and STIG standards for cloud applications
Automating cloud resource provisioning through Terraform and Ansible
Refining the deployment process for developers to efficiently run and test code in cloud environments
Implementing optimal scaling mechanisms to balance performance and resource efficiency
Supporting updates to client installations and resources
