About the job
Saronic Technologies is at the forefront of transforming maritime autonomy, focused on creating innovative solutions that significantly improve maritime operations through advanced autonomous platforms.
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced CNC Programmer to enhance our manufacturing capabilities in producing high-precision components for Autonomous Surface Vessels (ASVs). The perfect candidate will possess hands-on experience with CNC programming (including mills, lathes, and routers) and will have a comprehensive understanding of machining processes and quality assurance protocols. You will work closely with engineering, design, and production teams to manufacture components that adhere to stringent military specifications.
Responsibilities:
CNC Programming: Develop, test, and refine CNC programs for milling, turning, and various machining processes for complex components utilized in autonomous maritime systems.
Toolpath Development: Leverage CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) to create efficient and accurate toolpaths, ensuring optimal output and minimal machine downtime.
Machine Setup and Operation: Support the setup and operation of CNC machines, which includes loading tools, fixtures, and raw materials, while ensuring maximum operational efficiency.
Blueprint Interpretation: Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to generate precise programs and guarantee that parts meet required tolerances.
Quality Assurance: Conduct in-process inspections and collaborate with quality control teams to ensure that components are within specified tolerances and comply with high DoD standards.
Collaboration: Engage with design engineers, R&D teams, and production staff to enhance manufacturability, address technical challenges, and ensure seamless integration of components into ASV systems.
Process Improvement: Continuously assess manufacturing processes, propose enhancements, and implement best practices to minimize waste and boost productivity.
Documentation: Keep accurate records of programs, revisions, and machine configurations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Safety and Compliance: Uphold a safe working environment and ensure that all manufacturing processes adhere to OSHA, ISO, and military standards.
