Your Role
In this pivotal position within the HR Marine department, you will oversee all HR functions for our personnel on the Anthony Veder fleet. This includes ensuring that our vessels are staffed with competent, motivated, and future-ready crews through the effective implementation and management of a transparent competence management system.
As a Competence Manager, you will align the development of seafarers with organizational needs, enhancing motivation, performance, and long-term employability of our crew, all aimed at optimizing vessel utilization.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively contribute to crew development and enhance working practices and procedures within the HR Marine department.
- Establish and maintain a clear competence framework across all job levels.
- Analyze and report training data and appraisals to identify areas for improvement.
- Oversee the training manual and matrix for crew members on board.
- Manage the cadet portfolio, including recruitment, planning, and monitoring in collaboration with our Manning Agents.
- Engage in recruiting new staff and coordinating associated recruitment activities.
