About the Role
The Compliance Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the organization adheres to all applicable laws, regulations, licensing requirements, and internal policies. This position involves directing compliance audits, maintaining comprehensive compliance frameworks and documentation, and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to reduce regulatory and operational risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage compliance audits and regulatory evaluations.
- Ensure all compliance documentation and records are accurate and current.
- Coordinate efforts with internal teams to fulfill compliance obligations and meet deadlines.
- Engage with external advisors, auditors, regulators, and service providers as necessary.
- Develop, implement, and uphold compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Guarantee compliance with financial crime prevention standards, including AML/CTF regulations.
- Supervise regulatory reporting, license renewals, and statutory submissions.
- Assist the Board and senior management in compliance reporting and governance matters.
- Ensure adherence to data protection, privacy, and information governance standards.
- Support corporate social responsibility, employment equity, and transformation initiatives as applicable.
- Identify compliance risks and implement corrective actions.
