Position Overview

Olsson provides engineering services across various sectors, including data centers, large commercial developments, hospitals, laboratories, schools, and military facilities. Our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) teams excel in supporting complex facility designs, covering HVAC, power distribution, lighting, and advanced modeling and analysis.

As a CFD Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting Olsson’s Data Center team by developing and implementing CFD models for mission-critical facilities. This position is vital for enhancing Olsson’s CFD capabilities while collaborating closely with mechanical, electrical, and commissioning teams to deliver impactful, data-driven solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute CFD models for data center applications, including interior and exterior analyses.
  • Set up, troubleshoot, and validate models under the guidance of senior engineering staff.
  • Interpret CFD results and present findings through comprehensive reports and presentations.
  • Work in collaboration with engineering teams to support design decisions and enhance system performance.
  • Engage in client discussions and presentations to explain results and propose solutions.
  • Utilize knowledge of ambient conditions, wind rose analysis, and psychrometrics in modeling tasks.
  • Coordinate with Olsson teams, professionals, and clients to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Occasionally support CFD initiatives in other markets served by Olsson.
  • Travel as needed for job site observations or client meetings.
