Key ResponsibilitiesCamera Systems & IntegrationDesign and implement camera integration pipelines for various sensor modalities, including RGB, stereo, fisheye, thermal, and event-based cameras. Develop middleware and vision pipeline components that interface with our perception stack. Collaborate with hardware and programming teams to assess and integrate new camera systems. Calibration & Geometric VisionCreate and maintain calibration procedures for intrinsic and extrinsic camera parameters. Implement multi-camera calibration systems and camera-lidar extrinsic calibration workflows. Design online calibration methods suited for field deployment scenarios. Utilize geometric computer vision techniques, including structure from motion and 3D reconstruction. Classical Computer VisionEstablish robust image processing pipelines (ISP tuning, filtering, enhancement). Develop algorithms for feature detection, matching, and tracking. Design solutions for optical flow and visual odometry. Optimize vision algorithms for real-time performance on embedded platforms.

About the Role

We are on the lookout for a Computer Vision Engineer to join our Perception team at Anduril Industries. In this role, you will contribute to the development of advanced perception systems for autonomous drones and unmanned maritime vehicles used in defense. Our team is proficient in machine learning and real-time processing; however, we seek a classical computer vision specialist to enhance our camera integration processes, calibration workflows, and establish best practices in the industry.

You will work collaboratively with several teams, assisting ML engineers, system architects, and integration specialists to ensure our perception systems receive high-quality, well-calibrated sensor data from a variety of camera types.
