Role Overview:

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Construction Cost Estimator to enhance cost modeling and ensure financial precision across our capital projects. This pivotal role is essential for producing reliable outcomes by combining detailed cost estimation with proactive cash flow forecasting, thus supporting Crusoe's expansion worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee comprehensive estimating processes for data center construction, from initial planning through to execution.

  • Create detailed cost models that reflect design intentions, evolving scopes, and delivery strategies. Collaborate with design, procurement, and delivery teams to verify quantity take-offs and unit pricing.

  • Develop and sustain project cash flow forecasts to aid in financial planning, budget management, and funding requests.

  • Produce precise estimates for Civil, Structural, Architectural (CSA), Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP), as well as mission-critical systems for both domestic and international projects.

  • Assess vendor and subcontractor proposals against internal standards and historical data.

  • Analyze cost variances and model impacts from design alterations, procurement challenges, or schedule adjustments.

  • Collaborate with finance, real estate, and development teams to inform business cases and funding strategies.

  • Prepare clear cost reports, dashboards, and executive summaries that provide actionable insights and recommendations.

  • Implement scalable tools and repeatable processes to support Crusoe's infrastructure development pipeline.

  • Maintain historical cost databases and continuously improve models based on actual performance and market trends.

  • Contribute to site feasibility evaluations and preconstruction planning using data-driven insights.

  • Assist in value engineering initiatives and cost optimization strategies.
