Job Overview

The Construction Estimator will play a critical role in our project teams, responsible for accurate plan takeoffs, cost estimations, and the preparation of project bids and budgets. This position requires collaboration with various trade departments to generate precise cost estimates and proposals.

  • Adhere to WPI policies, procedures, and corporate safety programs.
  • Engage actively in safety plans and measures for assigned projects.
  • Review contract language, project scope, and special provisions, ensuring clear communication with project team members.
  • Collaborate with other departments to compile comprehensive estimates.
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents to create detailed proposals.
  • Utilize mathematical algorithms for material quantity calculations.
  • Maintain communication with clients during the bidding phase and any project modifications.
  • Support project management by addressing budget-related issues during initial stages.
  • Evaluate budget and profitability objectives.
  • Gather feedback to enhance the reliability of cost estimates.
