At PM2CM, Inc. (Project Management to Construction Management), we are committed to delivering exceptional Program and Project Management, Construction Management, and Project Controls services throughout the design and construction phases of projects. Our primary focus lies in Project Controls, encompassing Scheduling, Cost Controls, Document Management, Budget Tracking and Monitoring, Estimating, Risk Analysis, Claims Avoidance and Mitigation, Change Management, and Earned Value Management.
This position is based in Pomona, California, and offers a Hybrid-Remote work arrangement (with Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the office or field).
- Engage in preliminary field assessments to evaluate project alternatives in collaboration with Transmission Engineering and Environmental teams, providing insights on construction feasibility.
- Ensure a balanced approach to project construction design that integrates engineering requirements, construction viability, and adherence to State and federal regulations.
- Conduct field reviews as necessary to formulate a comprehensive plan for all required construction activities to facilitate the preferred project alternative's implementation.
- Draft a detailed construction plan that aligns with the Engineering scope of work, outlining all construction activities, personnel, and time estimates.
- Create a Google Earth map set of all construction work areas, collaborate with the Project Team, and submit the map set for GIS processing.
- Compile a comprehensive list of necessary project permits.
- Assist in entering project data into EHSync and responding to inquiries from Environmental, Real Properties, and Government Lands teams.
- Contribute to the Project Execution Strategy review with the Project Team and local Grid to identify the Responsible Party for Construction, based on available skills and resources.
- Support Grid resources in executing work according to the TLRR Program Plan requirements.
- Consult and negotiate with the GCC to establish a preliminary construction schedule and initial outage requests.
- Participate in developing specifications and scopes of work supporting the bidding process for contracted project work.
- Facilitate the bid process by attending job walks and bid conferences, addressing technical inquiries, and being involved in bid review and selection.
- Engage in the construction project kickoff meeting to set performance expectations.
- Participate in regular construction meetings to provide subject matter expertise and report progress to the Project Manager.
- Collaborate with Contractors as necessary to address and resolve performance issues.
- Review and provide feedback on project QA/QC documentation.
- Assist with Final Acceptance and Project Closeout as required.
