At PM2CM, we are dedicated to excellence in Program and Project Management, Construction Management, and Project Controls throughout the design and construction phases of projects. With our core expertise in Project Controls, we facilitate Scheduling, Cost Controls, Document Management, Budget tracking, Estimating, Risk Analysis, and Change Management, ensuring seamless project execution.
This position is situated in Pomona, California, and offers a hybrid-remote work model, requiring in-office presence on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in initial field evaluations to assess project alternatives with Transmission Engineering and Environmental teams, offering insights on construction feasibility.
- Adopt a balanced approach to project construction design, considering engineering needs, construction viability, and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct field assessments to devise a comprehensive plan for all necessary construction activities supporting the preferred project alternative.
- Draft a detailed construction narrative plan that aligns with the Engineering scope of work, encompassing descriptions of construction activities, personnel requirements, and duration estimates.
- Create a Google Earth map set of all construction work areas, collaborate with the Project Team, and submit the map set for GIS processing.
- Identify and compile a list of necessary project permits.
- Assist in entering project data into EHSync and address inquiries from Environmental, Real Properties, and Government Lands teams.
- Contribute to the Project Execution Strategy review with the Project Team and local Grid, determining the Responsible Party for Construction.
- Support Grid resources to ensure compliance with the TLRR Program Plan.
- Consult with the GCC to establish an initial construction schedule and outage requests.
- Assist in developing specifications and scopes of work for the bidding process of contracted project work.
- Participate in job walks and bid conferences, addressing technical queries, and contributing to bid review and selection.
- Engage in the project construction kickoff meeting to outline performance expectations.
- Attend regular construction meetings to provide expertise and progress updates to the Project Manager.
- Collaborate with Contractors to resolve performance issues as necessary.
- Review and provide feedback on project QA/QC documentation.
- Support Final Acceptance and Project Closeout as required.
