About the job
We are seeking a skilled Construction Surveyor to oversee and execute a comprehensive range of land surveying activities within the Tatu City project. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting topographical surveys, establishing and maintaining survey control networks, setting out for construction, and performing as-built surveys to verify project accuracy. This role demands a professional with extensive expertise in modern surveying techniques, proficiency in data processing and CAD software, and a diligent, detail-oriented mindset.
As a Construction Surveyor, you will collaborate closely with design, engineering, and construction teams to ensure the delivery of accurate and timely survey information. You will be instrumental in resolving any discrepancies and confirming that all project components are constructed in their intended locations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Collection & Field Surveys:
- Establish and maintain primary and secondary survey control networks (benchmarks, control points) throughout the project site.
- Conduct thorough topographical surveys of undeveloped land parcels, providing crucial data for master planning, infrastructure design, and architectural development.
- Execute engineering surveys to assist in the design of roads, drainage, and other utilities, capturing all essential features and levels.
- Perform pre-construction surveys to assess site conditions and existing features prior to the commencement of works.
2. Construction & Setting Out:
- Deliver precise setting out for all construction activities, including building gridlines, road alignments, infrastructure corridors, foundation locations, and finished levels.
- Collaborate directly with construction and contractor survey teams to ensure all setting out is accurately marked on site.
- Conduct regular checks during construction to verify verticality of high-rise structures, alignment of infrastructure, and dimensional accuracy of works.
- Resolve any on-site discrepancies between design drawings and actual site conditions in partnership with the field engineering team.
3. Data Processing & Reporting:
- Utilize specialized software to process raw survey data and generate clear, accurate survey drawings, reports, and digital terrain models (DTMs).
- Maintain a comprehensive archive of all survey records, field notes, and final drawings, both digital and physical.
- Perform volumetric calculations for earthworks based on topographical and as-built survey data to assist in quantity verification.
