Your Role and Responsibilities
The Continuous Improvement Engineer plays a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge manufacturing processes and equipment. Reporting directly to the Director of Manufacturing, you will thrive in a dynamic environment focused on optimizing operations, fostering continuous improvement, and mentoring technical teams. Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing innovative manufacturing processes and advanced equipment.
- Collaborating with engineers, technicians, and production staff to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
- Overseeing the manufacturing process to ensure superior quality and productivity.
- Providing technical guidance and support to the manufacturing team.
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean and Toyota Production System (TPS) methodologies.
- Educating team members on various quality and Lean tools, including Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen events, and root cause analysis.
Qualifications We Seek
- Proven experience with Toyota Production Systems, quality systems, and Lean methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent relevant experience.
- Ability to manage functional teams or projects of moderate complexity.
- Experience with quality tools such as PFD, FMEA, Control Plan, and statistical analysis.
- Relevant certifications (CQM, ISO 9000/TS-16949 Lead Auditor, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
