Qualifications:4+ years of experience in Drupal or WordPress development. Proficient in support roles. Agency experience is preferred, especially across multiple time zones. Strong problem-solving skills and an initiative-taking attitude. Familiarity with modern development workflows (command line, gitflow, containers, etc.). Experience with pattern libraries or similar tools. Thorough understanding of web standards and technologies. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. Familiarity with React.js is a bonus.

Job Overview

As a Contract Website Developer, you will engage in hands-on site development and collaboration, ensuring adherence to timelines, project specifications, and maintaining exceptional quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building and configuring websites.
  • Developing custom front-end and theme layers (Drupal).
  • Creating custom modules and maintaining existing custom code (Drupal).
  • Writing bespoke plugins and themes (WordPress).
  • Documenting code and processes while actively participating in peer reviews.
  • Engaging in client meetings and workshops.
  • Contributing to ongoing improvements in our processes and products.
  • Most importantly, enjoying your time collaborating with a fantastic team!


Compensation & Work Requirements

This is a contract role, with an hourly rate reflective of your experience. Rest assured, the compensation is competitive and aligns with industry standards for this position. This role is fully remote, but candidates must reside in the United States or Canada.

Who We Are Looking For

We seek candidates who:

  • Possess 4+ years of experience with Drupal or WordPress.
  • Are comfortable and experienced in support roles.
  • Have agency experience, ideally working across multiple time zones.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, intelligence, and initiative.
  • Are well-versed in modern development workflows, including command line, gitflow, containers, and dev/stage/prod environments.
  • Have experience with pattern libraries or similar tools, such as Storybook.
  • Possess a deep understanding of modern web standards and technologies.
  • Exhibit articulate, inclusive, and thoughtful communication skills, both in writing and verbally.
  • Hold a BS or MS in Computer Science or possess equivalent professional experience.
  • Have some experience with React.js (this is a plus).
