Role Overview: Controller
This is Unify’s first Controller hire. The role sits in the San Francisco office and reports to the CFO/COO. The Controller will build the company’s finance function from the ground up, overseeing the entire finance infrastructure: general ledger, accounts receivable and payable, revenue recognition, payroll, billing, and financial reporting. This is a senior position within the Finance & Operations team.

What You Will Do
- Lead ERP Migration: Oversee the transition from Quickbooks to an AI-native ERP. Assess current infrastructure, update core accounting policies, and refine internal controls. This migration will set the foundation for Unify’s future finance operations.
- Drive Zero-Day Close: Champion real-time financial visibility. Use the right tools and strategies to deliver fast, accurate financial insights and improve operational efficiency.
- Partner with Leadership: Work closely with the CFO/COO, gaining insight into business operations and the impact of financial reporting.
- Own Core Finance Operations: Manage general ledger, AR/AP, revenue recognition, payroll, billing, and financial reporting.
