About the role
As a vital contributor to MS NOW's direct-to-consumer programming strategy, the Coordinating Producer will collaborate closely with the Senior Director of Content Strategy to enhance audience growth and deepen engagement among MS NOW enthusiasts. This detail-oriented and collaborative professional will thrive in a dynamic news environment.
This role involves joining the team responsible for launching MS NOW's innovative direct-to-consumer membership model. The producer will be tasked with creating original content formats, leveraging both established talent and emerging voices. Close collaboration with the MS NOW Linear Programming and Digital Editorial teams will be essential to deliver a compelling daily content offering aimed at boosting subscriber growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, write, shoot, and edit unique video content for MS NOW’s direct-to-consumer platform, encompassing news and non-news segments.
- Develop and manage relationships with MS NOW hosts and reporters, as well as external talent, to initiate and produce DTC series and formats.
- Oversee regular livestreams, providing support during breaking news events and special live occasions.
- Source, assess, and produce content proposals from across the broader MS NOW organization.
- Curate featured video content within the MS NOW app for direct-to-consumer audiences.
- Collaborate with Linear Programming, Live Events, Social, Audio, and Digital teams to implement cross-platform programming initiatives.
- Uphold MS NOW’s high editorial standards and journalistic integrity in all content production efforts.
- Stay informed on significant news stories and consumer trends, proactively pitching engaging ideas to expand the DTC audience and enhance the MS NOW brand.
