Demonstrable design experience in a furniture dealership, with a strong preference for backgrounds in government or healthcare sectors. Advanced skills in CET Designer, Revit, and AutoCAD. Experience with ProjectSpec is highly preferred and qualifies for bonus compensation. Thorough understanding of commercial furniture systems, finishes, space planning standards, and installation needs. Creative problem-solving abilities with the capacity to work independently in a remote environment. Excellent organizational and communication skills, capable of managing multiple deadlines effectively.

This remote role offers a comprehensive 30-day onboarding program that covers manufacturer specifications, government standards, and our internal workflows. Candidates with experience in ProjectSpec may qualify for additional compensation.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Technical Execution:

  • Create detailed design packages featuring floor plans, 3D renderings, and space plans using CET Designer, Revit, and AutoCAD.
  • Transform complex dealer data into precise design solutions tailored for VA and government healthcare settings.
  • Oversee technical documentation, including installation drawings, finish boards, typicals, and Bills of Materials (BOM).

Specification & Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with government procurement standards and guidelines for GSA-approved products.
  • Develop accurate product specifications while mastering manufacturer catalogs and ensuring precision in ProjectSpec.
  • Work alongside furniture dealers to align product offerings with client requirements while upholding compliance standards.

Strategic Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with Sales and Project Management teams to enhance layouts, propose cost-effective alternatives, and adhere to budget constraints.
  • Address design challenges related to ergonomics, systems furniture, and specialized healthcare needs.
  • Maintain version control and organized project files to uphold quality across multiple workflows.
