About the Position

We are seeking a talented Product Designer (Creative) who possesses a strong design portfolio, a passion for visual storytelling, and a keen sense of contemporary digital aesthetics.

Your background may stem from UX/UI, digital design, visual communications, advertising, or even animation/illustration. What’s most important is your unique taste, creativity, curiosity, and your ability to craft thoughtful, polished digital experiences.

In this role, you will design user experiences for both students and educators, influencing everything from learning pathways and gamification techniques to teacher reporting and enhancements to our design system across the Mathspace platform.

You'll collaborate closely with the Head of Design, who will mentor you, while also encouraging you to take initiative and work independently once tasks are defined.

Your Responsibilities

Product & UI Design

  • Design responsive UI screens and components in Figma that align with our established design system.
  • Contribute to the improvement of our design system, focusing on patterns, interactions, styles, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with UX to create and test prototypes with educators and students.
  • Work alongside product managers and developers to refine design details and produce production-ready assets.

Creative Experience & Gamification

  • Assist in designing gamified experiences such as shops, rewards, challenges, and quests.
  • Develop visually appealing concepts for new features that resonate with our target age group.
  • Contribute to storytelling elements that captivate students and delight educators.

Craft & Visual Design

  • Create high-quality visual assets, icons, layouts, and supplementary illustrations.
  • Utilize Adobe Creative Suite and/or Affinity when Figma is not sufficient.
  • Ensure pixel-perfect execution with meticulous attention to detail.

Innovation & AI

  • Incorporate AI tools into your workflow for ideation, image generation, copy exploration, or prototyping.
  • Explore innovative creative or product opportunities through AI.
