Role overview
The Credit Controller is responsible for managing credit control processes to ensure financial accuracy and timely operations. This role plays a key part in supporting financial stability and maintaining strong relationships with both clients and internal teams.
Main responsibilities
- Achieve monthly receivables targets and minimize bad debt exposure.
- Regularly follow up with debtors through calls and emails.
- Collaborate with sales Account Managers to resolve overdue and disputed accounts.
- Conduct weekly reviews of account disputes, escalating issues to account managers and directors when necessary.
- Manage accounts in liquidation, including communication with administrators.
- Assess creditworthiness of new and existing customers, setting appropriate credit limits and payment terms.
- Prepare monthly creditor status reports for the Finance Manager.
- Assist the HR manager in Singapore with various HR-related tasks.
Reporting structure and location
- Reports directly to the Finance Manager based in the Netherlands.
- This position has no direct reports.
- Located in Shanghai with a hybrid work arrangement.

Education and technical skills
- MBO 4 or HBO level of work and thinking, or an equivalent qualification.
- Strong command of Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required; experience with credit control systems is an advantage.
- High proficiency in written and spoken English.
