POSITION OVERVIEW
The Critical Engineering Technician will join the Operations team, reporting to the Critical Facilities Manager. This role is vital in maintaining the operational integrity of our hyperscale, multi-building data center campus. In this hands-on position, you will ensure the uptime, reliability, and performance of critical facility systems.
Your responsibilities will include conducting routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and swift responses to alarms or incidents involving power, cooling, and networking equipment. The Critical Engineering Technician will work in various critical support areas, adhering to strict operational protocols. Collaboration with internal teams such as operations, engineering, and security, as well as external vendors and contractors, is essential. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, 24/7 mission-critical environment. This role offers significant growth potential within the data center industry and is fundamental to the reliability and scalability of hyperscale infrastructure.
12-HOUR NIGHT SHIFT (7PM-7AM)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute all standard and specialized tasks in line with Stream Data Centers’ operational procedures and maintenance guidelines.
- Conduct rounds to inspect mechanical, electrical, and fire/life safety systems (MEP/FLS) throughout the facility and equipment yards.
- Monitor Building Management System (BMS) and Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) dashboards for alarms and anomalies.
