mwresource-inc seeks a Critical Facilities and Data Center Maintenance Manager based in Austin, Texas. This position oversees maintenance operations and infrastructure for multiple critical facilities, including large-scale data centers. The manager is responsible for ensuring that electrical, mechanical, and physical systems remain reliable, compliant, and fully functional. A current Master Electrician license and substantial leadership experience in mission-critical environments are required.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct electrical infrastructure operations for buildings and data centers, maintaining compliance with local, state, and national regulations.
- Lead and supervise a team responsible for daily operations in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and general facility maintenance.
- Act as the technical lead for high-voltage systems, emergency power equipment (UPS, generators), and switchgear.
- Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance programs to support uptime and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with IT, security, and operations teams to meet the unique requirements of data center environments.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Method of Procedures (MOPs), and safety protocols.
- Ensure adherence to NFPA, OSHA, NEC, local building codes, and internal safety policies.
- Participate in capital project planning, vendor management, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Respond to emergency maintenance situations and lead after-hours incident resolution.
- Track and report on performance metrics, maintenance logs, and infrastructure reliability.
- Review vendor designs, blueprints, and proposals to verify they meet required specifications.
- Manage maintenance budgets across multiple sites, including upgrades and replacements.
- Foster strong working relationships with other departments.
