Job Summary
The Customer Service Representative plays a vital role in supporting underwriters, agents, customers, and internal teams across both commercial and personal lines of insurance. This position guarantees outstanding service, precise processing, and effective communication while upholding a comprehensive understanding of carrier guidelines and internal protocols.
Ideal candidates for this role will be based in the Columbus, OH area and will work remotely, with occasional short-distance travel required.
Position Responsibilities
- Assist new business and renewal underwriters, agents, customers, and internal personnel across commercial and personal lines.
- Address agent inquiries via phone, email, and other communications, providing insights and information on commercial lines products.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while managing the daily servicing of new and renewal business.
- Offer clerical support, quoting assistance, and perform other administrative tasks as necessary.
- Accurately and efficiently manage incoming and outgoing correspondence.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of carrier coverage forms, automation systems, eligibility requirements, and program specifics.
- Comply with customer service standards detailed in procedural manuals, process documents, and leadership directives.
- Document all relevant activities within the Agency Management System.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
