Job Summary
The Cybersecurity Engineer (CSE) at Rampant Technologies plays a pivotal role within our dedicated team, reporting directly to the Principal Engineer. The CSE is responsible for delivering cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions aligned with our organization's strategic objectives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
- Develop and implement best practices for processes and standards to enhance system performance.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments utilizing standardized tools (e.g., Nessus, DISA STIGs) and execute necessary configuration updates to comply with security mandates.
- Monitor and manage actions associated with Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities as outlined in the Plan of Actions and Milestones.
- Perform system hardening on operational systems, Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products, and open-source applications.
- Validate best practices in penetration testing, configuration analysis, and overall security measures.
- Prepare comprehensive security assessment documentation to validate implemented security controls, supporting the A&A testing process.
- Generate and maintain security accreditation artifacts associated with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process, including but not limited to the Security Requirements Traceability Matrix, Security Plans, Certification Test Plans, and Continuous Monitoring Plans.
- Ensure timely updates in the accreditation database.
- Provide technical guidance emphasizing information security architecture.
