They are seeking a seasoned Credit Risk Analyst to spearhead innovation and enhance the continuous improvement of decision-making processes, analytics, and reporting.In this pivotal role, you will contribute significantly to the department's growth and the overall business customer base. Your involvement will encompass the management of Credit Risk strategies, development of statistical models, macroeconomic analysis, and the implementation of advanced credit risk capabilities.The company’s offices are conveniently situated between Sunderland and Durham, with easy access by car from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and Middlesbrough.Key Responsibilities:Assess and monitor the effectiveness of individual policy rules, cut-offs, scorecards, and champion-challenger tests, proposing necessary adjustments to roll out existing challengers or introduce new ones.Analyze operational drivers of credit risk performance, recommending strategies to optimize the balance between manual and automated decision-making.Create and maintain regular management information (MI) reports to support the monitoring and evaluation of credit risk KPIs, driving factors, and credit risk strategy performance.Generate and uphold credit loss forecasts.Identify required changes in credit strategies, systems capabilities, operational processes, and data acquisition through data analytics and collaboration with colleagues and suppliers.Formulate proposals based on data analytics to model the long-term benefits of changes.Estimate and deliver credit loss assumptions for proposals initiated by other business areas, such as product development and marketing campaigns.Design and maintain data tables in warehouses and marts to maximize reuse potential across various analytics projects, reducing turnaround times and enhancing productivity.Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to define requirements, procure, build, test, and implement new credit risk capabilities, including new data sources, scoring mechanisms, systems, and operational processes.
