Your Responsibilities:Deploy and maintain Data Center infrastructure. Rack, stack, and wire servers, power distribution units, and switches. Install servers, switches, routers, and storage hardware. Submit RMAs to equipment manufacturers and manage shipping and receiving of equipment to/from remote locations and vendors. Track remote work requests and manage server and component inventory. Diagnose and repair hardware, performing upgrades, integrations, rebuilds, and other projects as necessary. Troubleshoot network, hardware, and Linux OS issues. Manage inventory and assets effectively. Your Qualifications:Experience in deploying and maintaining a data center environment. Strong troubleshooting capabilities in networking, hardware, and Linux operating systems, with a proven track record of diagnosing and repairing hardware, executing upgrades, and conducting installations. Proficiency in Linux OS, including working with terminal sessions and command line.

As a Data Center Engineer at DigitalOcean, you will be a pivotal part of our success. Our dedicated Data Center team is charged with maintaining and enhancing the physical infrastructure that powers the DigitalOcean cloud, both now and into the future. You will be responsible for everything related to our physical servers and networking equipment, which are essential for scaling our operations and supporting our customers.

Your daily responsibilities will range from replacing faulty drives in our servers to traveling internationally to establish new Data Centers from the ground up. In return for your skills and enthusiasm for DigitalOcean, we offer a position on a rapidly growing, collaborative team where you will have frequent opportunities to refine your abilities and learn new technologies. This role requires you to be present at our data center.

This is an onsite position.
