Role Overview: Data Center Technician III
The Data Center Technician III plays a crucial role in maintaining the operational integrity, security, and regulatory compliance of our data centers. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of telecommunications, mechanical, electrical, and life safety systems, alongside established data center operating procedures.
We are currently seeking a technician for the Swing Shift 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, Tuesday to Saturday.
As a Tier III technician, you will oversee daily operations within the data center, including facilities management and telecommunications infrastructure. Responsibilities are diverse and multidisciplinary.
Mechanical duties encompass working with chilled water systems, HVAC units including rooftop and CRAC/CRAH systems, and central plant operations.
Electrical tasks involve managing critical power distribution from utility/generator main switchgear through UPS systems to customer loads, including power circuit installations.
Fire Life Safety responsibilities include monitoring wet sprinkler systems and pre-action systems along with their respective detection devices.
In telecommunications, you will manage cross-connect installations, cabling infrastructure, advanced remote hands support, and customer cage and cabinet build-outs.
Your responsibilities will include building customer infrastructure (cage builds, overhead installations, rack and stack), cable termination and testing, routine maintenance, and monitoring of mechanical, electrical, fire protection, telecom, and security systems. This encompasses systems such as transformers, PLCs, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, STS, ATS, PDUs, chilled water systems, CRAC/CRAH units, and wet sprinkler systems.
