Now, we manage over three billion gigabytes of data storage for more than 500,000 customers across 175 countries, generating over $100 million in revenue. However, our journey is just beginning, and we are excited to invite a new Data Center Technician to our growing team!

Your Role:

As a Data Center Technician, you will play a crucial role in managing, maintaining, and optimizing the physical infrastructure of our data center operations. • Assist in managing onsite inventory of hard drives, cables, rails, and other spare parts.
    • Process RMAs for defective components.
    • Set up, test, and activate new equipment via the Linux command line.
  • Data Center Operations:
    • Serve as Backblaze’s physical presence in data center operations.
    • Be available for on-call responsibilities, requiring proximity to the facility for 24x7 issue resolution.
    • Workdays may include weekends (e.g., Wednesday - Saturday).
    • Shifts may involve evenings and/or overnight hours.
    • Assist with shipping and receiving, including moving, packing, and unpacking equipment.
    • Follow and enhance data center best practices and documentation.
