Role Overview
As a Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, construction, and maintenance of scalable data platforms and pipelines. Your extensive expertise in data platforms such as Azure Fabric, Databricks, and Snowflake will be crucial as you collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and fellow engineers to deliver reliable, secure, and efficient data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and oversee robust data pipelines and architectures.
- Implement solutions using platforms like Azure Fabric, Databricks, and Snowflake.
- Enhance data workflows, prioritizing reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to grasp data requirements and provide tailored solutions.
- Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Engage in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Proactively identify and suggest innovative solutions to improve data quality and analytics capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a Data Engineer role or similar.
- Proficiency in data platforms including Azure Fabric, Databricks, and Snowflake.
- Hands-on experience with data pipeline tools, cloud services, and storage solutions.
- Strong programming skills in SQL, Python, or related languages.
- Familiarity with big data technologies and concepts (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka).
- Outstanding analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications in Azure Data Engineering, Databricks, or Snowflake.
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
