The Role

We are seeking a Data Engineering Functional Lead (DE FL) to join our Data & AI leadership team and play a crucial role in propelling Neko’s AI vision and strategic execution. This pivotal position will guide the development and scaling of our AI and analytics capabilities across the organization. Key responsibilities include enhancing our data infrastructure and systems that cater to the needs of Data Science and Data Analytics, thus enabling efficient delivery of data-driven products and insights at scale.

What You’ll Deliver in the First 6–12 Months

  • Establish and execute Neko’s Data Engineering strategy, crafting a long-term vision for our data infrastructure that positions us at the forefront of preventative health.
  • Design and scale data systems for large-scale ingestion, addressing multi-regional needs, storage, and data modeling, thereby delivering a platform that supports our Data Science and Analytics teams.
  • Implement clear workflows and common tools across engineering, facilitating efficient communication and alignment that enhances delivery speed and cross-functional integration.
  • Develop a data platform that supports responsible AI by embedding principles of fairness, privacy, explainability, and compliance into our operations from day one.
  • Contribute actively to key deliverables while balancing current execution with future architectural needs, establishing a benchmark for technical excellence across the organization.
