Your Responsibilities
As the Data Science Lead in the Gameplay Analytics team, you will take a hands-on approach to lead a team of Data Scientists and Data Engineers. You will oversee the entire life cycle of data asset creation, reporting, and insights aimed at driving the strategic direction of Epic's diverse product portfolio, especially within our Shooter Games (Battle Royale, Reload, OG, Blitz). The ideal candidate will effectively utilize a variety of data technologies, statistical methods, and visualization techniques to influence cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders throughout the organization.
In This Role, You Will:
- Collaborate with design, game development, and product management teams to identify opportunities for our first-party games and the overall business, using data to develop metrics and insights that inform strategic execution.
- Engage directly with engineering and data platform teams to accurately define and gather the data necessary to unlock insights and build robust data models.
- Transform raw data into actionable data models, production metrics, reports, and insights.
- Regularly assess the effectiveness of metrics and align them with the long-term growth of our ecosystem.
- Partner with design, product, and analytics teams to design, test, and learn from experiments swiftly and rigorously to enhance our games.
- Lead and mentor a small team of data analysts, guiding the direction of our analytics strategy.
What We Are Looking For:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience, demonstrating a strong interest in data science and analytics.
