About the job
Join Tiger Data, the innovative leader in PostgreSQL platforms formerly known as Timescale, where we empower developers and organizations with the fastest solutions tailored for transactional, analytical, and agentic workloads. Our platform is trusted by thousands globally, accelerating real-time insights, driving intelligent applications, and supporting critical infrastructure at scale. We are a remote-first organization, dedicated to clear communication, accountability, and collaborative excellence, as we redefine data infrastructure for speed, flexibility, and simplicity.
We are seeking a dynamic Database Support Engineer to enhance our Technical Services team. While a strong foundation in database management is crucial, this role offers the opportunity to engage with our entire technology stack — from PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB to Kubernetes, AWS/Azure cloud infrastructures, and beyond.
This role transcends traditional database responsibilities. You will operate at the nexus of databases, cloud infrastructure, and modern platform engineering. Every day will present unique challenges—from optimizing complex analytical queries to resolving issues related to cloud, Kubernetes, and database-integrated features across distinct services. You'll troubleshoot network concerns and utilize browser DevTools for tracing API errors, delivering comprehensive support to our customers across the technology spectrum.
By joining us, you will deepen your database expertise while gaining insights into our entire platform. If you thrive on variety, enjoy tackling complex technical challenges, and relish direct customer interaction, this role is perfect for you!
Familiarity with TimescaleDB is essential! Prospective applicants should sign up for a free trial and evaluate the platform prior to applying or interviewing. https://console.cloud.timescale.com/signup
