We are seeking a dynamic Database Support Engineer to join our Technical Services team. While extensive database expertise is fundamental to this role, you will engage with our complete technology stack — from PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB to Kubernetes, AWS/Azure cloud infrastructure, and beyond.
This position transcends a traditional database role. You will operate at the crossroads of databases, cloud infrastructure, and contemporary platform engineering. Each day presents unique challenges — from optimizing intricate analytical queries to diagnosing cloud issues, Kubernetes environments, and the features integrated with our database that operate through distinct services. You'll assist customers across the entire stack, addressing everything from network complications to utilizing browser DevTools for tracing API failures.

Tiger Data operates as a remote-first company. This is a full-time position, with preference given to candidates in the West Coast time zones (PST or MST).
This is a permanent role with a standard Monday to Friday schedule, comprising five 8-hour shifts.
While this is a conventional weekday position, occasional on-call coverage may be necessary.
