Qualifications

Genuine enthusiasm for assisting children with autism. Must be patient, compassionate, and capable of thriving in a teamwork-oriented environment. Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or GED required. Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and undergo a Tuberculosis test (if not completed in the past year). Ability to pass a pre-employment background check. Physical capability to perform various movements (sit, squat, bend, etc.). Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. Must achieve Registered Behavior Technician Certification following onboarding.

Join our passionate team at Centria Autism as a Behavior Technician, where you’ll play a vital role in enhancing the lives of children with autism. In this fulfilling position, you will work directly with children, applying personalized behavior intervention strategies under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Your mission will be to utilize evidence-based methods to foster communication, social skills, and daily living capabilities while minimizing challenging behaviors. We seek individuals who are genuinely dedicated to empowering children with autism to achieve their fullest potential.

This role demands patience, empathy, and teamwork, as you’ll collaborate with a support network focused on each child's success. Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure you are well-prepared for this rewarding work, even if you lack prior experience. Please note that working with children can be unpredictable; therefore, the role requires physical stamina, including the ability to stand, move, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
