Main responsibilities Direct and support manufacturing engineering processes to manage production cells effectively. Represent manufacturing engineering in meetings and company events. Define or design specifications for equipment, tooling, and racking required for production. Review Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) for assigned cells and assist with floor implementation. Assign default part locations within designated manufacturing cells. Create shop floor instructions and hot sheets, and provide training as needed. Maintain and update plant, cell, inventory, and emergency/security layouts and maps. Lead or support capital equipment and facility upgrades, installations, or modifications. Apply lean manufacturing practices, including 5S, value stream mapping, and setup reduction. Promote continuous improvement and teamwork within the group. Participate in SWAT team meetings to help cross-functional teams resolve issues. Observe processes to confirm fair and consistent labor time standards. Maintain resource plans to support ongoing production needs. Validate routing processes and submit change requests to process planning when necessary. Conduct contract reviews to confirm production readiness per the Manufacturing Readiness Assessment. Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) meetings to help decide on non-conforming materials. Initiate Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) as needed.
