Lead the technical direction and management of the design and development of powertrain mounts and bushes, including elastomer mountings, housings, and fasteners essential for supporting the range of extender engines, along with isolators for BIW in frame carrier assembly. Ensure the successful execution of all engineering facets of designated programs, adhering to timelines, budget constraints, quality standards, and functional specifications. Manage all internal components of the chassis powertrain mounts and bushes module, taking into account design, materials, and manufacturing expertise necessary for design execution, assembly, and service-related considerations. Key Functional Responsibilities:Collaborate with the Center of Excellence (COE) for Axle & Mounts to guide technical direction and project interfaces, prioritizing program objectives. Design and develop Frame Carrier for various extension projects, transitioning from pre-concept to serial production in collaboration with B2P suppliers. Develop comprehensive project plans at component, system, and vehicle levels, promptly identifying deviations and initiating corrective measures. Ensure all components meet defined program targets for cost, quality, and relevant attributes. Produce robust specifications/SORs and release them in alignment with all build phases, adhering to Vehicle Milestone targets. Oversee the design release process, managing initial releases into PLM, change management, BOM updates, and necessary documentation. Validate component integration with surrounding structures through Interference Dimension Checks and similar methodologies. Develop and coordinate a comprehensive validation plan, both analytical and physical, with the capability to interpret results and recommend corrective actions. Support vehicle test/build activities by providing effective solutions to arising challenges. Manage all technical aspects of component development, ensuring documentation includes GD&T, DFMEA, DVP Component/System/Vehicle, Significant/Critical Characteristics, and Material Specifications. Clearly present module status during relevant meetings, ensuring factual and technical accuracy.
