What Will You Do?
You will be involved in projects focusing on the renovation of tunnels, bridges, and locks. From the procurement stage, you will play a key role in the project. With your expertise in engineering and model-based systems engineering, you will lead the design discipline within large, complex, and often multidisciplinary infrastructure projects. You will report directly to the project manager. Your expertise will ensure success in:
Collaborating with clients and suppliers
Guiding and serving as a resource for a team of lead engineers, engineers, and modelers, ranging from 10 to 40 members
Organizing, coordinating, and overseeing the drafting of design documents and conducting requirement verifications
Designing projects and the entire engineering process according to client requirements and expectations. You will play a crucial role in technical and organizational meetings both internally and externally
Making informed design decisions. Structuring and aligning design processes and components
Ensuring that calculations and drawings within your team are correctly set up and maintaining coherence within and between various subsystems
Managing the interfaces between different subsystems and with other disciplines within the project, such as civil constructions, road and hydraulic engineering, or cables and pipelines
Establishing, directing, and monitoring your portion of the Agile work process
As a Design Manager, you will work on project sites primarily located in the western part of the Netherlands. On-site, you will collaborate closely with your operational colleagues to ensure that your choices are effectively implemented.
