Key Responsibilities:Oversee and assess BIM schedules across various projects. Comprehend the design scope and expectations pertinent to each project. Manage project hours, impact logs, change orders, costs, and billing processes. Lead project kick-off meetings, document expectations within the project BIM PxP, and ensure adherence to those expectations throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborate with operations and preconstruction teams to grasp project expectations and design involvement in each initiative. Document and address all inquiries related to projects and model information effectively.

Role overview

The Design Manager leads efforts to improve and oversee design processes within construction projects. This role involves close collaboration with internal teams and clients to ensure project needs are met and standards are maintained. Responsibilities include managing design workflows, coordinating trades, detecting and resolving clashes, and maintaining quality assurance and control for models. The position also covers layout and installation coordination to support successful project delivery.

Preconstruction support

The Design Manager plays a key part in supporting the preconstruction team, especially during the bidding phase for new projects. This includes providing design input and coordination to help secure upcoming work.
