AECOM has been a proud supporter of Uisce Éireann since the launch of its Resident Engineer program seven years ago. We are currently seeking skilled Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Resident Engineers (Senior M&E REs, M&E REs & Assistant M&E REs) to bolster our team and assist in achieving Uisce Éireann’s Capital Investment Plan.As a Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Resident Engineer, you will collaborate with Uisce Éireann’s framework providers to guarantee that every project meets the highest quality standards. Your work will encompass significant water and wastewater infrastructure projects as well as non-infrastructure initiatives, including the construction of new treatment plants, upgrades, pumping stations, national generator programs, electrical upgrades, and capital maintenance projects throughout the Republic of Ireland.In alignment with Uisce Éireann and AECOM’s dedication to safety, you will serve as a safety ambassador in this role. You will actively promote a culture of safety and ensure adherence to all safety policies and standards during construction projects.Your responsibilities will include:Specializing in the Mechanical & Electrical components of construction.Leading on-site infrastructure project delivery for Uisce Éireann, ensuring compliance with health & safety, quality, environmental, program, and cost standards.Reviewing and monitoring contractor documentation and performance, including MEICA design submissions, RAMS, quality plans, FDS, commissioning plans, and adherence to contractual obligations.Supervising MEICA construction activities, conducting safety reviews, and quality audits, ensuring that operations are completed safely according to specifications and approved methodologies.Monitoring commissioning activities, including FAT, SAT testing, system testing, process proving, and compliance with performance guarantees.Managing commercial contract aspects, including interim and final account assessments, variations, claims, and contractor performance evaluations against KPIs.Fostering effective communication with the Project Team, Employer’s Representative, Local Authorities, utility providers, landowners, and the public to ensure project coordination.
