Our innovative engineering team based in Galway is responsible for developing a revolutionary fleet management solution featuring a comprehensive suite of Android applications for drivers and a robust web application designed for efficient fleet tracking and management.
We are actively seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to enhance our dynamic team in Galway.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Implementing cutting-edge DevOps practices, including infrastructure as code, continuous integration, and automated deployment, utilizing both cloud and on-premise services.
- Designing and developing the tools, frameworks, systems, and processes that empower engineers to build, integrate, deploy, scale, and manage their software effectively.
- Building, managing, and deploying architectures with technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes.
- Automating processes across the full CI/CD lifecycle to enhance developer efficiency and minimize manual tasks.
- Transforming solutions from proof-of-concept to full production systems.
- Championing best practices in observability (monitoring, tracing, alerting, logging) and high availability within the software engineering team.
- Collaborating with a global DevOps team to ensure seamless support for all systems managed by platform teams.
We seek candidates with the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) roles, emphasizing tooling, automation, and distributed systems development.
- A total of 5+ years of experience in the software industry.
- Extensive expertise in architecting, designing, and implementing deployments in multi-cloud (AWS/Azure/Oracle/Rackspace) and on-premise environments.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, with the ability to troubleshoot infrastructure issues across multi-cloud and on-premise settings.
- Exceptional documentation, communication, presentation, and demo skills.
- Proficiency with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, or Codefresh.
- Familiarity with configuration management platforms like Ansible, Chef, or Salt.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and/or Kubernetes at scale.
- Solid scripting abilities.
- Experience employing monitoring frameworks to assess the health and performance of infrastructure and applications.
- Collaboration with database administration teams supporting platforms such as Microsoft SQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
- Exposure to big data analytics and streaming tools, including Hadoop and Kafka.
