Qualifications Required for Success:Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field, paired with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. Extensive experience in application security and vulnerability management, including practical knowledge of SAST, DAST tools, and vulnerability scanning platforms. Strong understanding of the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and DevSecOps practices, particularly in integrating security within CI/CD pipelines. Experience with security tools across both cloud (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure) and on-premises environments, including containerized applications (e.g., Kubernetes). Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation, alongside a good command of Java. Robust knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows systems, encompassing security configurations and compliance checks. Adept at analyzing vulnerabilities, logs, and security events, with the ability to recommend remediation actions, supported by strong analytical and reporting capabilities. A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.

About the job

Uni Systems is growing its presence in Luxembourg and seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to help embed security throughout the software development process. This position supports both cloud and on-premises systems, ensuring that security is considered from initial design through deployment.

What you will do

  • Evaluate, integrate, and maintain security solutions to advance DevSecOps practices.
  • Develop scripts and APIs to streamline how vulnerability data is handled.
  • Support the improvement of the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Manage and fine-tune application security testing tools, such as SAST and DAST platforms.
  • Create Python automation scripts to connect security tools with different systems and platforms.
  • Assist in deploying and integrating security solutions in cloud, on-premises, and containerized environments, including Kubernetes.
  • Investigate vulnerabilities, assess their impact, and recommend remediation or patching steps.
  • Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans using both automated and manual tools to ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Perform technical compliance checks for Linux/Unix and Windows systems against baseline configurations.
  • Monitor logs and security events, troubleshoot issues, and support resolution processes.
  • Contribute to risk analysis using established methodologies and best practices.
  • Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Stay up to date on emerging threats and new vulnerabilities through continuous monitoring.
