Salary: $90,000 - $95,000

Position Overview: As a Die Cast Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing manufacturing processes through thorough analysis and strategic planning. Collaborating closely with the Manufacturing Manager, your mission will be to identify and rectify inefficiencies within production workflows, thereby boosting output and reducing costs. This role demands a robust background in manufacturing and a solid understanding of die-casting methodologies.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, optimize, and enhance manufacturing processes to improve productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless implementation of new technologies and processes, adhering to project timelines and budgets.
  • Engage in root cause analysis and corrective actions as part of cross-functional teams.
  • Analyze process data to identify trends and propose actionable solutions for continuous improvement.
  • Implement cost-reduction measures while minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency.
  • Monitor key performance metrics, including cycle time, yield, and scrap rates, and devise strategies to meet or exceed targets.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for process-related challenges.
  • Train and mentor the production team on new procedures and equipment for optimal operation.
  • Stay updated on advancements in process engineering technologies and methodologies.
  • Create and maintain all relevant documentation, including APQP documents, machine setups, operations, tooling, work instructions, and gauge instructions.
