Qualifications

Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing avionics systems for space applications. Proficiency with Altium or similar EDA tools. Understanding of communication protocols, instrumentation/sensors, and power electronics. Excellent technical communication skills and ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment. Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline. More than 10 years of experience in avionics systems development for space applications. Proven experience in managing spaceflight hardware throughout its complete lifecycle, including design, analysis, qualification, and operation. In-depth knowledge of radiation effects and mitigation strategies.

Director of Avionics Engineering

As the Director of Avionics Engineering, you will be at the helm of a talented team tasked with the design, analysis, and qualification of all avionics systems across our diverse product lines. Your responsibilities will encompass systems related to motion control, communication, computational processes, power management, and beyond. You will act as the technical authority, ensuring the successful delivery and integration of all avionics hardware.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and substantiate the architectural framework, interfaces, and requirements for all avionics systems.

  • Establish qualification testing criteria in line with spaceflight testing standards.

  • Facilitate effective execution of both system and component level design while providing necessary technical guidance and mentorship.

  • Collaborate across functions with software and mechanical teams to ensure alignment with integration timelines and system milestones.

  • Oversee all technical, operational, and programmatic risks associated with the avionics team.
