Role Overview
We are in search of a Director of Data & Analytics Engineering to spearhead our data platform initiatives and enhance data-driven decision-making throughout the organization. In this pivotal senior leadership role, you will be responsible for the entire data platform lifecycle, from data ingestion and transformation to the analytical layers that our business teams utilize on a daily basis. You will manage both Data Engineering (covering infrastructure, data pipelines, and reliability) and Analytics Engineering (encompassing data modeling, metrics, and self-service tools), while promoting an AI-first mindset in our development, operations, and innovation strategies.
Core Responsibilities
Platform Leadership: Lead the architecture and strategic planning of a modern data stack, encompassing everything from source systems to consumption layers.
Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and motivate a team of data engineers and analytics engineers, cultivating a culture of excellence, curiosity, and accountability.
AI Integration: Seamlessly incorporate AI tools into the workflows of the team for building, testing, documenting, and monitoring our data platform.
Business Collaboration: Transform business objectives into a robust data infrastructure that is agile, reliable, and scalable.
Key Activities:
Articulate and manage the multi-year strategic roadmap for the data platform, ensuring alignment of infrastructure, tools, and personnel investments with overarching business strategies.
Lead and nurture two high-performing teams, Data Engineering and Analytics Engineering, fostering a collaborative, feedback-rich atmosphere with well-defined career development paths.
Design and supervise scalable data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and delivery, catering to both batch and streaming requirements.
