We are seeking a strategic, people-oriented leader to steer one of our three pivotal Engineering Pods as it transitions to an AI-Native operational framework.
You will not be working alone; you will have the backing of a dedicated team of specialists, including a Portfolio/FinOps Lead, Quality Engineering Lead, Architecture Lead, and other Directors, along with the VP team.
Your primary objective is to connect the engineering potential with the business reality. You will be the catalyst ensuring that our engineering teams go beyond merely building technology to actually delivering substantial value through our AI-Native Strategy. With an AI mindset, you recognize that AI represents not just a tool, but a transformative operational paradigm, and you are driven to see projects through to completion.
Your Responsibilities
1. Strategic Execution & Driving Results
- Execution & Momentum Driver: Your mission is to minimize friction and sustain momentum. You will ensure that strategic initiatives (such as the transition towards Agentic AI) progress seamlessly from exploration to practical implementation, avoiding analysis paralysis or endless proofs of concept.
- Problem Solving: You will be the key person who resolves obstacles. When a project encounters delays due to interdepartmental misalignment or resource shortages, you will proactively address and resolve these issues.
2. Promoting an AI Mindset & Culture
- AI Evangelism: While you don’t need to train models, you must comprehend what AI can achieve. You will challenge existing practices by questioning: “Why are we doing this manually?” and “How can AI agents facilitate this workflow?”
- People-First Leadership: You will mentor Engineering Managers, fostering a culture that embraces a “fail fast, fail forward” philosophy that encourages learning through experimentation while ensuring strong accountability for delivery and knowledge sharing beyond individuals.
- Change Management: You understand that the journey to AI transformation is 10% technology and 90% people. You will guide the organization through this cultural evolution, transforming fears of automation into enthusiasm for high-value work.
