We are currently on the lookout for a seasoned Director of Platform Engineering to lead our Platform Engineering team within the Infrastructure & Operations department. Reporting directly to the VP of Infrastructure & Operations, this pivotal role involves overseeing the development and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure, as well as enhancing developer platforms and tools. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical foundation, outstanding leadership capabilities, and a genuine enthusiasm for creating resilient, scalable platform services while ensuring the reliability of production infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Formulate and implement the platform engineering strategy in alignment with business objectives and Infrastructure & Operations goals.
Lead and inspire the Platform Engineering team to achieve high performance.
Establish and enforce best practices, standards, and architectural guidelines for platform services and production cloud infrastructure.
Collaborate with engineering leadership and Infrastructure & Operations teams to define the requirements for platform and production systems.
Serve as the ultimate escalation point for complex platform engineering challenges that exceed Level 2 operations support.
