About the job

Join our dynamic team as a Document Controller specializing in data center construction projects. We are looking for an individual who is not only highly organized but also possesses an eye for detail, ideally with experience in construction project environments. This critical position, based in Montevideo, Uruguay, will ensure comprehensive control, traceability, and compliance of all project documentation throughout the construction lifecycle in a technical and regulated atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and manage a sophisticated document control system tailored to data center construction, facilitating accurate tracking, version control, and approval workflows across various teams, including engineering, construction, QA/QC, HSE, commissioning, and client stakeholders.

  • Centralize and oversee all project documentation through all phases: pre-construction, construction, commissioning, and final handover.

  • Compile, coordinate, and validate all documentation necessary for project closeout, ensuring compliance with client standards, regulatory needs, and best practices for mission-critical infrastructures.

  • Organize, maintain, and audit project folders, document matrices, and logs of correspondence, including RFIs, submittals, as-built drawings, IFC drawings, technical reports, permits, and compliance records.

  • Develop, revise, and enforce Document Control Guidelines and Procedures that align with company policies and construction standards specific to data center projects.

  • Administer and enhance the company’s Document Management System (DMS) to ensure accuracy, consistency, and scalability for large-scale technical projects.
