We specialize in developing and deploying software solutions for on-board UAV autonomy tailored for military applications, emphasizing scalability and utilizing low-cost, widely available sensors and computing resources. Why Join Our Team? Our software development process is hands-on, with field testing integral to our operations as we conduct tests across Europe. Our team comprises individuals with strong academic backgrounds in Aerospace Engineering, Computational Science, Robotics, and Computer Graphics. Based at the TU Delft campus within the Aerospace Engineering faculty, we collaborate closely with leading partners, including drone manufacturers and research institutions. Our projects vary from operational collaborations to low-TRL research with governmental agencies, bridging the gap between innovation and practical deployment.Your RoleAs a Senior Engineer specializing in Controls, you will have significant ownership over essential capabilities of our autonomous UAV systems. Your responsibilities will encompass guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) for interception and collision avoidance maneuvers, robust state estimation in challenging sensor environments, and integration with various flight controller software systems. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and steering the short-to-medium-term development roadmap. Depending on project requirements, you may also assume the position of Tech Lead, providing technical direction, coordinating implementation efforts, and ensuring project delivery within established scopes. This role operates within a flat organizational structure, focusing on project-based responsibilities rather than formal personnel management.ExpectationsStrong proficiency in modern C++ programming.Experience in real-time software development, including gaming, simulation, robotics, or embedded systems.Solid foundational knowledge of fixed-wing and multi-rotor flight dynamics, both theoretically and practically.
