Minimum QualificationsAssociate's degree in Occupational Safety, Health, and/or Environmental from an accredited institution is required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. At least seven years of relevant work experience in EHS management. Additional QualificationsCertifications such as ASP, CSP, CIH, CFPS, or CHMM are highly valued. Outstanding communication skills with a knack for diplomacy. A proven ability to engage effectively with all levels of management. Self-motivated team player with strong analytical and strategic thinking skills. Proficient with mobile devices and forms, capable of executing tasks independently.

About the job

As the EHS Manager II, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating the implementation of the site Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) plan, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry best practices. You will serve as a key resource for the Project Director/Manager, Construction Manager, and Superintendents, providing insights on safety practices and the company's health and safety plan. This position also involves delivering comprehensive training on safety policies to relevant site personnel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior management to ensure adherence to Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) compliance.
  • Oversee the implementation of OSH programs across the site.
  • Manage responses to emergency incidents effectively.
  • Initiate and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  • Conduct training sessions in relevant OSH areas.
  • Evaluate existing programs, issue recommendations for improvement, and implement necessary changes.
  • Facilitate safety practices and policy training for site personnel.
