About the job

As the technical lead for 2WP EV motor products, you will focus on uncovering differentiated demands in the local Chinese market, transforming forward-looking market and technology trends into clear objectives for motor product development. You will play a pivotal role in product definition, serving as a core hub connecting market needs with technological capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Demand Insight and Definition

• Continuously monitor EV market trends and competitive product technology paths to identify differentiated market opportunities and product gaps.

• Act as the interface between customers and the R&D team, translating vague or innovative customer demands into executable engineering language and development objectives (performance, cost, technical constraints, etc.).

• Lead the completion of product concept phase definitions, clarifying 'what' to do and 'why' to do it, providing input boundaries for the design team.

2. Development Process Coordination

• Accurately communicate product goals to the motor design team, serving as a technical interface during the development process to address demand-related questions and ensure design alignment.

• Participate in design reviews, offering insights from the perspectives of demand compliance and risk controllability, ensuring design outputs match defined inputs.

3. Collaboration and Support

• Maintain close communication with internal and external teams (global R&D centers, procurement, quality, suppliers, customers) to coordinate resources for overcoming technical obstacles during development.

4. Risk Identification and Validation (Nice to Have)

• In the early stages of product development, lead the identification of potential technical risks and failure modes (DFMEA, DRBFM), clarifying risk points and validation plans.

• As a gatekeeper, review deliverables at various project milestones (drawings, BOM, reports, etc.) to ensure the final product aligns with initial definitions.
